Flipnic: Ultimate Pinball[]

(aka Flipnic in Europe and フリップニック in Japan)

In the jungle-themed "Biology" level, a UFO will appear and abduct a pinball with its claw. A newspaper spins into view with the headline "MISSING! MISSING!" to which the announcer responds "Oh my god!". The front page also features a side story with images of Specter and the Pipotrons. Much of the text is illegible even in HD resolutions.

The game was developed by Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. and predates Ape Escape: Pumped & Primed by almost a year (July 1, 2004).

Monster Rancher 4[]

Monster Rancher is a series where you as the main character take care of, raise, and possibly breed monsters to form stronger, better ones. IN MR4, having/using an Ape Escape disk upon entering the "Make a monster" shrine will form an Ape with Red Shorts holding a boxing glove.

Pipo Get!

Taiko no Tatsujin: Atsumare! Matsuri da!! Yondaime[]

(aka 太鼓の達人 あつまれ!祭りだ!!四代目 in Japan)

In this Taiko no Tatsujin game, the song Yappari Saru Get You from the Ape Escape series is available as a playable song in the variety genre. This was done as a tie-in with Ape Escape: Pumped & Primed which also released earlier that month.[5] Pipo Monkeys and The Pipotrons appear on screen as the song plays.

Metal Gear Solid 3[]

Ratchet and Clank: Up your Arsenal[]

In the Japanese and International HD version of Up your Arsenal, by entering a code in the pause menu of the game you can unlock a wearable Pipo Suit for Ratchet to wear. It is a monkey with blue pants and a sad expression. Clank remains virtually unchanged. The code needed is: Up, Down, Up, Down, Left, Left, Right, Right, Square, Square, Square.[6]

Ratchet: Deadlocked[]

In the Japanese version of Deadlocked exists a normal yellow pants monkey suit to wear that is aquired via inputting a code in the pause menu. The code is as follows: Up, Right, Down, Right, Left, Right.[7]

Doko Demo Issyo: Let's Gakkou![]

(aka どこでもいっしょレッツ学校! in Japan)

A game from the Doko Demo Issyo series starring Toro Inoue that only released in Japan. Three Pipo Monkeys appear in this game in the month of November, challenging Toro and his friends to a battle. Winning the battle rewards the player with Pipo Monkey costumes.[8]

LittleBigPlanet[]

The Ape Escape Costume is a downloadable outfit for LittleBigPlanet, LittleBigPlanet 2, LittleBigPlanet PS Vita, and LittleBigPlanet Karting.[9]

Tokyo Jungle[]

A Pipo Helmet appears as a free DLC in Tokyo Jungle. It has infinite durability and can only be equipped by the Chimpanzee.

Super Bomberman R[]

Release Date (PS4, ver. 2.2):
All regions: September 19, 2018[10]

A yellow pants monkey called Pipo Monkey Bomber was added exclusively in the PS4 version of Super Bomberman R via version 2.2 patch.[11] Pipo Monkey Bomber is under "Unique" class and has a special ability called "Aping". Also included is Toro Inoue, who has been in many Ape Escape crossovers.[12]

Toro and Friends: Onsen Town[]

A puzzle game starring the character Toro Inoue (Japanese Name: トロとパズル, Puzzle with Toro). The game held a collaboration event with Ape Escape which spanned from September 18th, 2020 until September 30th 2020. This event included limited-time unlockable Pipo Monkey costumes and furniture, as well as a special loading screen containing Pipo Monkeys.[13]

In Gusty Gateway, the opening area of Memory Meadow, two Bots are acting out a scene from Ape Escape while another Bot films them. One is hiding in the bushes with a red siren light on his head, while the other pretends to look for them holding a large net.

The game was developed by Team Asobi, who originated from Sony's Japan Studio division, the developers of Ape Escape. Indeed, the style of parody at work here is not unlike the kind seen in Ape Escape 3, with monkeys filming for Specter TV.
