HI ArcticEngie. Unfortunately not. You need a template for both sticks? it might be necessary to animate them (congrats on what you did by the way with the Dash Hoop.) I'll see what I can do, but it might take some days. See you next time!
Hello again! Many thanks but there is plenty to do! (I was going to animate transformation combos such as Cyber Ace/Gotchaman) Anyhow Just an idle analog stick with "R" or "L" on it would do, but thats fine if you wish to animate it!
You're welcome. Sure thing, a wiki is a never ending story, and there's always room for improvements :) Alright, I'll start by crafting an idle version of both sticks, and think about animation after (I might need to use my 3D models for animation, so perhaps it will be very different from other buttons... Come to think of it, I might redo everything to standardize the 3D format, like the AE1 interface).
So I'm a serious Ape Escape fan and have an EDM project inspired by and tributed to the series. The Ape Escape themes are throughout along with a few other fun elements. A matter has been troubling me for a while though. For the artwork on my project, I use screenshots from the anime series mainly (on Youtube) and I'm thinking about maybe using a few from the games. However, if I release my work formally on CDs, will I get in trouble for copyright infringement by using the anime screenshots? I was thinking about having someone draw some custom artwork, but I have access to noone, especially not voluntarily. I also thought of Ape Escape cosplay costumes and photoshoots for the artwork, but making the costumes would be too hard. I don't want to have to redo everything I've worked so hard on. I'm now even scared that using the names of the characters in the song titles may be copyright infringement. Any thoughts or advice. I have tryed to contact SCEI and Xebec Studios (makers of the anime) for answers about the images, but I have yet to hear anything back from them and it has been close to a year.
Sorry for the delay, but I was very busy recently. Anyway, I do believe that you unfortunately cannot use Ape Escape Art for your covers, because it's a copyright infringement. And I don't really think that Sony will answer to you, because AE is a protected franchise. Even if they answer, if you don't have an agreement, it worth nothing and it's still highly dangerous. So if you really want to be cautious, just avoid using any Ape Escape art, and try to either ask someone to do something for you (drawing, 3D models but NOT EXTRACTED, or just an abstract illustration) or to craft a nice thing by yourself.
I deleted it (a long time ago) because I don't see how this can help the wiki to grow. Every article right here is potentially an "Article Stub", and every page has room for improvements. If people want to improve the wiki, they should do it by navigating through it and changing what they know, not by adding "Article Stub" everywhere. ^^ Don't be offended ;) because I know it's something usual in Wikia, but I just don't like it.
BTW, do you know how to get to any of the Japanese Ape Escape Websites? I started a page listing official Ape Escape websites (some of which are quite fascinating to look at) for people who want to look at the official websites, and so they can be used as references if needed (official is official after all)
I was hoping to add some of the Japanese ones for the Japan exclusives to the list. I've got one Japanese website.
I'm actually kind of surprised the ones for the first two games still exist. I guess I just kind of assumed really old websites eventually dissapeared or something, since there's a lot of old websites that are no longer accessable.
Hey Golden Specter, I just wanted to thank you for pouring so much effort into finding and merging all the Wikis for this series per c:gaming:Project:Unification Project. It's a relief to see a community that was that messy now cleaned up!
Hi Revitalizer, You're welcome, it was a pleasure to help the gaming community to merge several wikis, although I stopped because I do believe that this job belongs to the Wikia staff now. When I saw so much people starting new Wikis about something already popular, I gave up. See you next time !
I know I haven't been here for sometime, but lately I have been making on and off edits. Anyway I was a little curious, didn't we use to have a page listing to show-off all of the monkey's from the original game? I tried to look for that list but on the page I didn't see anything. Was it removed?
I ask because I was hoping to add what I have from AE3, if we didn't already have information like that. But I couldn't find any ape listings at all on here now.
Haha, thanks! And you're welcome, it's a pleasure to help and to see you coming back here to add more things on this fabulous franchise.
As you might know, I'm not really involved into Wikia anymore, although I'm still able to help (on the technical side) and to answer every question! So I understand your hiatus :P But some users made wonderful edits here =)
Actually I didn't really know. I think I remember a long time back that you said you would be a little bit busy now and then because of school though. But knowing that you can still help from time to time is nice anyway x3 I liked having you around.
Yup, school and many other projects :P But yes, I'm always checking if I have questions in my wall in any case :P I've done so much for this wiki, I hope that it will continue to grow more and more and to reach the top, and I'm sure that you'll greatly improve it now =)
No problem! I blocked him on another wiki and he started to take it to my message walls and userpages on two other wikies [including this one, which is the only one I'm not an admin of out of the three he attacked]. Thank you for dealing with the situation for me.
You're welcome =). Some wikia users are acting with really strange behaviors, that's for sure. And it's pathetic :/
But good to know that he'll never be able to do anything harming anymore, at least in this wiki! :)
I tried to upload the usual ape pictures I have been uploading, and some of them wont, and I get this message when I try.
Could not create directory "mwstore://local-backend/local-public/a/a9". Please report the above error using this form
This is really strange. I tried to search on the Internet, and this problem appears only with personal MediaWiki builds, not with Wikia wikis.
I tried to see your upload log or anything with your account, and everything is fine.
So I don't get it. I suppose that you were using the same software for taking pictures/ cropping them. If this problem will appears again, try to use another browser (FireFox, Chrome, IE, Safari or Opera). If this solution won't solve the aforesaid problem, I'll ask for help from the Wikia Staff.
Oh okay, might have been an issue with Wikia servers, sometimes it happens (when we can't even load the wiki, a blank page appear instead). Good to know that anyway & thanks for uploading those pics :)
Hey! Don't worry, Lemonadez, we don't always have enough time to this ^_^. I don't know, might be perhaps better ton concentrate on AE1 and check the rest after? But in any case, I started to craft a AE2 and AE3 Ape visualization some yars ago, so you can probably work on them too.
Hello :3 I know I haven't been on this place in forever, extra naughty since I made/run this place...
But, I do plan on returning to continue work here. Since I've been missing this place a whole lot. By the way, what happened to the blogs tab? I was hoping to announce my return through that but couldn't find it. Was it removed?
Happy to see you editing the wiki again, I do understand that we don't always have the time to make lot of edits here. Especially when we consider that nothing "new" came from the Ape Escape franchise since AE Move =)
Feel free to ask me if you have some questions or need something (templates, etc.). The background's code has been deprecated (it's not working) since the "Darwin update" on Wikia, but I'll try to fix it!
Not sure why I disabled the Blogs feature, might have been a mistake. I'll fix it now.
I have scans of an Ape Escape comic from the Winter 2000 issue of Disney Adventures Magazine. Could you help me find an appropriate location to upload the scans within the wiki? I want to add it, especially since its hard to find on the internet (I was unable to locate them with a google search). Its also a pretty cool comic if I do say so myself. But, i wanted to make sure that it had a place or that it belonged on here at all before doing it. Thanks :)
I'll be happy to see this Ape Escape comic =), perhaps we can make a single page for it, with a SCAN header, like Disney Adventures Magazine - Winter 2000? Otherwise, we can make a single general page about AE comics/ manga, like Ape Escape (Comics), and add it right there?
In any case, the choice is yours, and I'll be okay with both.
Feel free to upload other scans that we can't buy anymore for archive purpose, if you have them (& the time to do it) ;)
Wow, this is really amazing! I'm clearly stunned by the quality of this comic, fully colored & very detailed, respecting some artworks & the "US logo" style. It's nice to have it here now.
Thank you very much for this great contribution:D
As requested, the AEComic3.jpg has been deleted ;)
